Uncolored map of Africa and its surrounding islands by Albrizzi, based on De L'Isle's map of the region. Decorative title cartouche located in top right corner. Cartouche features huntsmen spearing a crocodile, a mounted horseman within the background, and an elephant beside a bird animal in the foreground. Many additional annotations within map print (in Italian). Neighboring regions of southern Europe, Arabia, and a small portion of South America (to the west) provided in general detail. Border surrounding map includes scale. Scale key provided in lower left corner. Hachures depicted off coast(s). Locale of various tribes noted. Landforms and waterways located throughout. Compass rose provided, right to Arabia, within Indian Ocean. Single-paged, single-sided, horizontal map on laid paper. Bound at centrefold on verso. Verso is blank. 33 cm. x 43 cm.
