    Captain John B. Long, right, a veteran with 15 years of service, is shown telling two other Fort Worth Marines- Tech Sergeant Larry Hill, left, of 2308 Ryan Place Drive, and Corporal H. D. Lawson of 3701 Nichols- "It won't be long now," as they boarded a transport plane at Grand Prairie Naval Air station bound for the West Coast. The Marines were the first reserve air unit to leave the Fort Worth-Dallas area since the start of the Korean war. Published in the evening edition, August 7, 1950.
