Description
Abilene is the home of two colleges and a university. This is a view of McMurry College building, and the Radford Memorial Student Life Center at extreme left. McMurry is the newest of Abilene's institution of higher learning was voted into being by the Northwest Conference of the Methodist Church in 1920 and work on its first building began in 1922. In the last 10 years many buildings have been built and more infrastructure are planned in the next 10 years. The enrollment is between 500 and 600 students. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, September 13, 1953.
