Description
Simmons Hall, the science building, left, and Standefer Memorial Hall, the administration building and library, at Hardin-Simmons University. Hardin-Simmons is now part of the mid-city scene due to its rapid growth in enrollment and facilities in the last years. It's liberal arts school was founded in 1891 by cattlemen who belonged to the Sweetwater Baptist Association. It occupies 84 acres and there are 15 permanent building on the campus, with a men's dormitory and women's dormitory in construction. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, September 13, 1953.
