Barbara Ann Barker of Dallas received from Bishop Thomas K. Gorman the award she won in the essay contest on vocations sponsored among Catholic students of the Dallas-Fort Worth diocese. Barbara Ann, a student at Saint Thomas School in Dallas, won third place in the grammar school girls division. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 10, 1954.
