Description

The 1941 college football season is opening at Farrington Field in Fort Worth, Texas. The Texas Wesleyan Rams are hosting the visiting Hardin-Simmons Cowboys. Some 300 West Texas rooters are invading Fort Worth. Attending the game, left to right, are Doctor W. R. White and Law Sone. Dr. White is the president of Hardin-Simmons University. He is dressed in a cowboy hat and a single-breasted pinstripe suit. He is wearing a light woven-striped shirt and a dark tie, partly tucked into his shirt front, with a tie chain and a decal on the chain, is wearing a leather belt, and wire-frame glasses. Mr. Sone is the president of T. W. C. He is wearing a cowboy hat and a light striped shirt and a diagonal-weave tie with a double breasted pinstripe suit. There is a handkerchief folded in his breast pocket. Published Star-Telegram Morn. Sep. 21, 1941.
