    Description

To raise the $3,553,000,000 defense revenue contemplated in the tax bill passed by the Congress and sent to the President for signature, many commodities small and big will be looked at closely. Records will be taxed at 10% the price of the record. Miss Sue Hawkins is putting a record in the record player while holding the record jacket. She is purchasing a supply of records while at Fakes & Company. She is wearing a dark long sleeve dress with floral design all over. On the wall are various pictures of musicians. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, September 18, 1941.
