Description

To raise the $3,553,000,000 defense revenue contemplated in the tax bill passed by the Congress and sent to the President for signature, many commodities small and big will be looked at closely. Movie exemptions on Federal tax was 21 cents. Under the new law, it has dropped to 9 cents, with 1 cent on tax on each dime of fraction thereof. Two Hardin-Simmons University co-eds, here to push the Cowboy - T.W.C. football game Saturday, study the situation at the Fort Worth Theater. Wilma Gravis and Nita Fielder, both of Abilene and Hardin-Simmons, about to purchase tickets from Mrs. O. N. Allen at downtown theater.
