Description

To raise the $3,553,000,000 defense revenue contemplated in the tax bill passed by the Congress and sent to the President for signature, many commodities small and big will be looked at closely. For each light bulb purchased after October 1, 1941 there will be a 5% additional charge for the defense fund, if the President signs the tax bill. On the store counter is a cluster of light bulbs on a display mount of National Mazda Lamps. There are other bulb packages on the shelves in the background. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, September 18, 1941.
