Description

The Masonic Home High School football team is trying for their fourth straight district 7-AA Championship. Two holdovers from the 1940 team, left to right, are Cecil Moseley and Floyd Lewis. They are part of the stout front wall that will block for the Masons' large backfield. Mosley (25) is a guard while Lewis (6) is a tackle. They are shown charging the camera as they practice their blocking techniques. Two young men side by side charge in a hunched position toward the camera. The young men are wearing game uniforms with two-tone jerseys, letters 25 and 6 on their chests, long padded canvas pants, light colored socks and dark lace-up football boots. Leather helmets on their heads. They're on a grass field with a cistern or water tank behind them on the left and a structure with a tall smokestack directly behind them.
