The city of Fort Worth had its annual picnic for the 200 policemen and their families gathered at Camp Swift, Lake Worth. Captain B. F. Griffith and Detective Walter Schertz are seated, left to right, at a picnic table having their share of the 800 pounds of barbecue and 150 cases of soft drinks. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 5, 1941.
