Description

The Sixth Annual XIT Rodeo and Reunion is being held in Dalhart, Texas. The lively event draws large crowds, often doubling the town's population. Some of the visitors in the spotlight, left to right, are Will Matthews, Roy Tisdale, and C. F. Nichols. Mr. Matthews, of Goldsboro, Texas, delivered a herd of cattle to the Yellowstone Division of the XIT in 1887. He is dressed in a striped shirt, necktie, and trousers. Mr. Tisdale, of Coleman, Texas, was the foreman of the Middlewater Division of the XIT from 1903-1905. He is wearing a dress shirt, necktie, and trousers. Mr. Nichols, of Beeville, Texas, worked on the Bovina Division from 1904-1905. He is dressed in a three-piece pinstripe suit.
