Description
Oil was recently discovered in the northern Jones County area, one mile north of the original Avoca Pool. The pool extension has led to an increase in activity. One of the drilling crews on sight are with the M. J. Delaney No. 1 Short. The crew members, left to right, are O. E. Cross, Buster Ketchum, Tom Conner, and Frank Julianson. The four men are dressed in hard hats, long-sleeve shirts, and overalls.
