Description
Oil was recently discovered in the northern Jones County area, one mile north of the original Avoca Pool. The pool extension has led to an increase in activity. One of the drilling crews on sight are with the Schuchert test. They are left to right, Cecil Edmondson and Ed Scott. Mr. Edmondson, derrick-man, is wearing a button-up shirt and trousers. Mr. Scott, driller, is dressed in a hard hat, button-up shirt, trousers, and gloves.
