Description

More than three-hundred people including school teachers and college students, registered for the Southwestern Congress of Optometry's Conference on reading disability. The four-day conference is being held at the Hotel Texas. Dr. A. R. Reinke, right. is an Oakland, California optometrist who works with Berkley University is demonstrating his research to Bobby Sherrod, a linebacker for the Texas Christian University football team. Dr. Reinke, pointing to a chart, is explaining how defects in the eyes can be remedied to improve performance. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 6, 1940.
