Description
Bobby Sherrod is a linebacker with the Texas Christian University football team. He was part of the unbeaten 1938 Horned Frogs that were crowned National Champions. Bobby is attending the Southwestern Congress of Optometry's Conference at the Hotel Texas. Dr. A. R. Reinke, an optometrist who works with the University of California, Berkely, demonstrated his research on Bobby. Dr. Reinke is explaining how defects in the eyes can be remedied to improve performance and has evaluated Bobby's eyes. Bobby says his vision to the left often leaves him wide open for a block. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 6, 1940.
