Description

Two methods of sampling a cake are demonstrated by Judge Bruce Young and Bobbie Gene Walton, 8, at the Fort Worth Boys' Club birthday party Thursday afternoon. The birthday cake is 3-tiered with large candles at the corners of the base cake and one candle on the middle of the top tier layer. Judge Young has a knife in his right hand and is ready to cut the cake as he looks on Bobbie Gene. Bobbie Gene is about to taste a morsel on his finger. He is wearing one of the sweaters given club members at the party by the North Fort Worth Kiwanis Club. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 2, 1940.
