Description

A landscape photograph shows the rose garden at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. The subfreezing temperatures in January, damaged most of the bushes. Experts announced that 90 per cent of the 10,000 rose plants in the garden were seriously damaged, most of them probably beyond recovery.
