    Description

One of the floats in the parade at the Borden County 50th anniversary celebration, which was decorated to look like a classroom. Mrs. D. Darwood, the former Miss Minnie Russell, is seated at the front of the carriage. With her are, left to right, Mrs. C. T. Trammell, Mrs. Tom Good, Mrs. Jim York, Mrs. Bill Miller, Mrs. Cora Cole and Mrs. Howard Nelson. The women are sitting at school desks on the carriage. Mrs. Darwood was previously a teacher at Gail School in 1900. All the women are wearing various hats and large coats. At the front of the carriage there is a sign that reads, "Gail School 1900." Behind them is another carriage that is connected to them. At the far left is a wooden house.
