Description
Ann Hurt, Sue Cox and Fairy Summer, drum majors of the Lamesa High School band that headed the parade at the 50th anniversary celebration of Borden County's founding. The young girls are dressed in a band uniform that includes high boots, a skirt, a dark, long-sleeve top, and a brimmed hat with a pompom attached to the top. They are all doing the same pose; standing with one leg raised up (as if they were in the middle of marching) and a baton held up in their right hands. Behind them is a building. At the fa right, the shadows of other band members can be seen.
