Description
Billy Joe Short, 4-H Club boy of Sanderson, Texas, with his first prize medium weight Polled Hereford at the 1941 Southwestern Livestock Show at El Paso, Texas. Billy is standing next to the head of his cow, holding onto its lead and looking off to his right. He is wearing a dark hat, a jacket and a pair of trousers. The cow is primarily a dark color with the exception of its head and underbelly. In the background is a brick building with a truck parked in front of it.
