Buddy is standing next to the head of his calf, holding onto its lead and looking at the camera. He is accompanied by an unnamed man who is standing behind the calf, at left. Buddy is wearing a brimmed hat, a jacket and a pair of trousers. The unnamed man is also wearing a brimmed hat and a patterned jacket.
