    Description

    Brigadier General William Hood Simpson is being transferred to Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas where he will serve as commanding officer of the camp. General Simpson grew up on a ranch outside of Weatherford, Texas. In 1905 he attended West Point to begin his military career. He is shown in his official military photograph, taken when he was promoted to his current rank. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, March 18, 1941.
