Description
Ceremony is being held in Abilene, Texas to officially turn Camp Barkeley over to the military. The camp will serve as a training facility for the 45th Infantry Division, based out of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Standing on the stage, left to right are Mayor W. W. Hair, Major General Walter Krueger, Ed S. Stewart, and Major General William S. Key. Mayor Hair, of Abilene, Texas, is wearing a three piece suit. General Krueger, of San Antonio, Texas, is the commander of the 8th Army Corps. He is dressed in his military uniform. Mr. Stewart is the new president of the Chamber of Commerce. He is dressed in a three-piece suit. General Key is the commander of the 45th Infantry Division. He led his 10,500 men into the city.
