Description
A ceremony is being held in Abilene, Texas to officially turn Camp Barkeley over to the military. The camp will serve as a training facility for the 45th Infantry Division, based out of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Local Abilene girls are greeting Major General William S. Key and his 10,500 men. The girls carrying welcome signs are left to right, Misses Vicki Jones, Marjorie Larison, Ruth Foote, Frances Baldoudil, Eloise Keen, Frances Hawkins, and Jean Morris. Behind them there is a platform with American flags on the corners.
