Description
A ceremony is being held near Abilene, Texas to officially turn Camp Barkeley over to the military. The camp will serve as a training facility for the 45th Infantry Division, based out of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Attending the ceremony left to right are Marvin C. Nichols, W. P. Wright, and Thomas S. Byrne. Mr. Nichols, is the architectural engineer. He is dressed in a hat and a double breasted pinstripe suit. Mr. Wright is the past president of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce. He is wearing a hat and a double breasted suit. He is congratulating both Mr. Byrne and Mr. Nichols. Mr. Byrne, is the general manager for camp contractors. He is dressed in a hat and a three-piece, double breasted suit. There is a crowd of people in the background standing between the tents and a building.
