    Description

Camp Barkeley is being constructed in Abilene, Texas to train the 45th Infantry Division of the United States Army. Construction crews worked quickly and they are ready for March opening. The 45th Division is shown convoying through the streets of Abilene, preparing to move into Camp Barkeley. Signs along the route and strategically placed Military Police helped to direct traffic through the city. The convoy is traveling down Pine Street. A crowd of people are standing near various stores as they watch the officers pass by. Some of the business include Sun Electric Company, Daniel Auto Supply Company, and the Green Frog Cafe.
