    Description

    Camp Barkeley is being constructed in Abilene, Texas to train the 45th Infantry Division of the United States Army. Building crews are working quickly to make the camp ready for the March opening. Active leaders of the construction race are left to right, Major Richard E. Froiseth, Marvin C. Nichols, and Thomas S. Byrne. Major Froiseth is the construction quartermaster, he is wearing his military uniform. Mr. Nichols, of Fort Worth, Texas, is the architectural engineer in charge of the project. He is dressed in a double breasted pinstripe suit. Mr. Byrne is the general manager and a member of the contracting organization of Taylor, Byrne, and Briggs. Mr. Byrne is dressed in a three piece suit. The men are gazing out the window of one of the new buildings.
