Description

Camp Barkeley is being constructed in Abilene, Texas to train the 45th Infantry Division of the United States Army. Construction crews worked quickly and the facility is ready for March opening. The 45th Division is convoying through the streets of Abilene, on the way to their new home at Camp Barkeley. Mrs. Ray C. Renland and Miss Lucille Ellison are two of the many spectators that turned out in force to make the 45th Division feel at home in its new guest city. Mrs. Renland is wearing a coat with a brooch pinned the lapel. Her purse is tucked underneath her arm. Miss Ellison is wearing a buttoned coat, tied around her waist. There is an unidentified woman looking at the camera.
