    Description

Texas A & M University versus Fordham University at the Cotton Bowl. The Aggies pulled an old, but effective play, on Fordham early in the Cotton Bowl game. It was the old "Statue of Liberty" when Bill Conatser faked a pass, John Kimbrough circled back and took the ball off his hand and lit out around the Fordham right end. The maneuver clicked and Big Jawn is shown here bowling along for 17 yards. He went to the Aggie 37. Number 12 for the Rams is Jim Noble and Leonard Eshmont is the halfback coming over to make the tackle. Aggies in sight include Vaughn (number 60), Robnett (number 43), Henke (number 38), and Routt (number 58). Number 11 for the Rams is Bennett. He is a guard. A distance show of the players on the field. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition January 2, 1941.
