Description
Texas A & M University versus Fordham University at the Cotton Bowl. Jim Blumenstock, crack Fordham back, made one of the finest runs of the game to score the Rams' second touchdown in the Cotton Bowl game. With the ball on the Aggie 15, the Rams caught the Cadets napping by running directly from their "T" without a shift. Blumenstock sailed around the Cadet right end with plenty of blockers, fought and slashed his way over the goal line. This picture of the run was snapped as he hit the Aggie seven. Note that John Kimbrough was in fine shape to tackle but was half blocked by Kuzman, the big tackle. Henke, coming up behind, was too late and Marion Pugh, number 30, was blocked out. An action shot of the players on the field. In the background are the stands full of spectators. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition, January 2, 1941
