Cowboys and cowgirls are gathering at the Pioneer Palace for the J. E. Fender Barn Dance. They are participating in old-fashioned dances like "Little Brown Jug" as well as more modern ones. Attending the dance. left to right. are Mary Lake and Mary Belle Chilton. They are discussing holiday affairs over a bag of peanuts. Miss Lake is wearing a cowboy hat, bandanna, and a long-sleeve blouse. Miss Chilton is dressed in a silk blouse and a bandanna.
