Cowboys and cowgirls are gathering at the Pioneer Palace for the J. E. Fender Barn Dance. They are participating in old-fashioned dances like "Little Brown Jug" as well as more modern ones. Pictured on the dance floor are Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Muse Junior. The Austin, Texas, couple is swinging to the first dance. Mrs. Muse is wearing a cowboy hat, button-up blouse, bandanna, skirt, and cowboy boots. Mr. Muse is dressed in a cowboy hat, a button-up western shirt, striped trousers, and cowboy boots.
