Description
A football, autographed by TCU players, sold by an auction on Wednesday at the Exchange Club meeting at the Fort Worth Club. Auctioneer was J. A. Gooch, retiring president of the club. S. H. Bever made the winning bid of $64 in the auction. The Star-Telegram Goodfellows and Santa Pals funds were enriched $32 each. Photograph showing S. H. Bever, right buying the autographed football and J. A. Gooch, handling the ball over to Bever. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 19, 1940
