Description
City and County officials and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations watching the patrol bomber seaplane from the shore, northwest end of Lake Worth when the 14-ton patrol bomber seaplane negotiated a safe anchorage 400 feet from shore. The huge plane is the first of 250 of this type to be delivered to Britain by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation in San Diego to New York as the United States aid to embattled Britain. Shown here is a closeup of the patrol bomber seaplane. It refueled and the crew of seven rested. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 30, 1940.
