Description
City and County officials and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations watching the patrol bomber seaplane from the shore, northwest end of Lake Worth when the 14-ton patrol bomber seaplane negotiated a safe anchorage 400 feet from shore. The huge plane is the first of 250 of this type to be delivered to England by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation. It stopped here for refueling and overnight rest of the crew of seven en route to New York. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 30, 1940.
