Description
Tarrant County said goodbye to its first contingent of 56 trainees in ceremonies held at Main and Fifth Streets. Standing and saluting at the colors were Joe Crumbie (left), district commanded of the American Legion, and Roger McLeland, chosen senior leader for the entire group of trainees. At the ceremony, McLeland responded to the tributes for the trainees. On the right is Mark McGee. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 20, 1940.
