Description
Tarrant County said goodbye to its first contingent of 56 trainees in ceremonies held at Main and Fifth Streets. Mrs. Hugh Pangburn is shown here in one of the buses passing out a farewell gift of candy. William Collins is receiving a box from Mrs. Pangburn. Others in the picture are Grady Faulkner, Robert A. Mondragon, Lloyd Blevins and Tom Winders. There were 2 chartered buses that took the trainees to the Dallas induction station. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 20, 1940.
