Description
There was plenty of activity at City-County Hospital as 126 Tarrant County registrant volunteers passed through a line of medical examiners. Several doctors in one office were busy examining teeth. Here Doctor J. W. Lorimer examining the teeth of Melton Norris Gilstrap, 24, from 900 Belzize Terrace. Mr. Lorimer is wearing a white collared shirt, a vest, a tie, and he is examining Mr. Gilstrap's mouth. The medical and physical checkup is the final step in determining the 56 men being inducted on November 20. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 14, 1940.
