Personalities in the local draft news Tuesday because theirs were among the first numbers drawn from the historic goldfish bowl in Washington, D.C. Among the Tarrant County men whose numbers were called in the draft is Max Allen Williams. His 6 year old daughter, Patsy Ruth is breaking the news to her father that he was the 8th number drawn. Mr. Williams on the left is in overalls, kneeling and looking at his daughter Patsy as he holds a paint brush and a bucket of paint; meanwhile Patsy is looking at her dad , she is wearing a a collared plaid flannel dress and boots. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 30, 1940.
