    The Probation Institute is holding their conference in Fort Worth, Texas. Attending left to right are Mrs. T. R. Odell and Captain Thomas J. Smith. Mrs. Odell is a teacher at North Texas State Teachers College in Denton, Texas. She is also the juvenile protection chairman of the Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers. She is wearing a hat, blouse, and a coat. Captain Smith, is both a Salvation Army officer and county juvenile and probation officer in Pampa, Texas. He is wearing a light colored three piece suit. They are in a conversation, standing next to each other. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 11, 1940.
