Description
R. L. "Dutch" Meyer is the head football coach at Texas Christian University. In 1938 he led the Horned Frogs to a National Championship. He is attending one of his off-season activities such as banquets. Here is the principal speaker at a recent banquet for the Poly Parrots and the Masonic Home Masons given by the Polytechnic Masonic lodge. At the left is Luther Scarborough of Poly Technic High School and on the right is Coach Rusty Russell of the Masonic Home. He is wearing a double breasted pinstripe suit. Coach Meyer is standing behind the banquet table and pointing. He is dressed in a double breasted suit. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, February 11, 1940.
