    Lieutenant Leonard Rutledge, recently returned to the United States after completing 98 combat missions and spending 11 and a half months as a pilot in the Air Forces in the Pacific. He has received the Air Medal and many oak leaf clusters. In this portrait, he is wearing his military uniform and smile. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, September 3, 1944.
