Description
"Road to Cedar Rapids," a gouche painting (a mixture of water, honey and gum) won the second prize $50 donated by the Hotel Men's Association of Fort Worth. The artist is Mary Coreen Spellman, a faculty of Texas State College for Women. The entry was one of the 30 competitive entries in the West Texas Art Show on exhibit in the Fort Worth Art Association in the Public Library. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 4, 1942.
