First prize winner of the $100 donated by Mrs. C. A. O'Keefe and the Blackstone Hotel, is this oil painting by Harrelle Trantham of Abilene. It's titled "Nightfall on the Underpass" and is one of the 30 competitive entries in the West Texas Art Show, the current exhibition in the gallery of the Fort Worth Art Association in the Public Library. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 3, 1942.
