Description

Cattlemen from all over are traveling to Silver Creek Farms for the Hereford auction. The bidders are eager for a chance to purchase the highly esteemed cattle. In attendance, left to right, are Samuel McKelvey and Dan Thornton. Mr. McKelvey, of Woodlake, Nebraska, is a newly registered Hereford breeder. He severed as the Governor of Nebraska from 1919 - 1923. He is wearing a cowboy hat, collared shirt, necktie, and a coat. Mr. Thornton is from Gunnison, Colorado. He is dressed in a cowboy hat and a suit.
