Description
Thousands of civilians flocked to Camp Bowie and Camp Wolters to catch a glimpse of what the country is doing in way of national defense. Marching troops, social life, and field maneuvers made it a full day for the men in uniform and the visitors. Pictured are the men of the 36th Division at Camp Bowie in Brownwood, Texas. They are stirring patriotic feelings as they pass on a parade. Mixed in with the crowd of civilians is a fire engine. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, April 8, 1941.
