Description
Thousands of civilians flocked to Camp Bowie and Camp Wolters to catch a glimpse of what the country is doing in way of national defense. Marching troops, social life, and field maneuvers made it a full day for the men in uniform and the visitors. Pictured at Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas are Reverend and Mrs. J. W. Cundiff. They are inspecting a potato peeler at the camp. Reverend Cundiff is the pastor of the Parker Street Baptist Church. He is dressed in a three piece suit. Mrs. Cundiff is wearing a fur coat. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, April 8, 1941.
