Description
The West Texas Fair is being held in Abilene, Texas. "Yellow Bear", a Palomino colt, is the first prize winner for the class of 1940 foals. He is shown with George Humphrey, foreman at the 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas. Mr. Humphrey is wearing a cowboy hat, button-up shirt, jacket, and trousers. He is smoking a cigarette and holding Yellow Bear's lead rope. There are several automobiles parked in the background and a stable label "Palomino Horses". Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 10, 1940.
