Description

Texas Christian University football players Woodrow Adams (left), the junior letterman who is discussing a play with Derrell Palmer, sohpomore. Woodrow came in at 228 pounds and Palmer at 222 pounds. Mr. Adams and Mr. Palmer are both wearing full uniforms with long-sleeved shirts over shoulder pads, padded pants, cleats, and helmets. They are both kneeling in the middle of a field looking at each other while Mr. Palmer holds up two fingers with his left hand. Star-Telegram Morning, September 6 1940.
